Updates (October 2020)

This post is delayed, but better late than never.

October went by pretty fast. I guess because I had several things I was looking forward to and was happy to witness.

In the first week of the month, I was generally happy as it was the birthday of Japanese artists that I admire. One of those artists is Suzuki Hiroki from D-boys, who celebrated his birthday last October 3. I have been following him since his Tenimyu days, and he has grown as an actor, and I look up to him.

Another thing I was looking forward to was the possibility of having a laptop. In the end, I did get it, and I will be making a post about it in the future. And we also have a functioning speaker that we got from another tenant who left. To sum it up, we were able to obtain gadgets for free or somewhat lower in price as compared to it's actual market price.

I continue posting photographs on my Instagram and my Twitter. Like what I said before, I am trying to hone my photography skills, but with a little twist. The camera I am using is my camera phone. I am using a Samsung Folder 2, and a second hand one at that. The camera is below par compared to the latest phones, but that's the beauty of it. I can only work with what I have. That is the real challenge.

I am still struggling with my routine (see my previous updates). But I am trying my best to follow it.

There are new songs and videos that I have added to my playlist. These are those that moved me or has struck some heartstrings. I might share them in the future.

The real highlight of this month is my sister Rei's birthday. Though she didn't prepare a feast, just planning it was hilarious, and it made me feel giddy.

In general, the month was relatively feel good as compared to the previous months.

I would say it was a good, happy month.

half day

i woke a little earlier that usual to prepare breakfast for about 9 people.

there is nothing unusual that.

what is unusual is that after preparing and eating breakfast,

i slept half of the day.

not even on a bed,

i was sleeping on an reclined, cushioned chair.

no neck pains or anything.

just plain unusual for me.

when i woke up, it was lunch time.

add to that, i had a dream that felt so real.

in my dream, our aunt came here at our house with a foreigner.

she wanted me to take her blood pressure but she wasn't exactly cooperative.

i felt i was skipping from dream to reality,

to the point that when i woke up,

i asked my sister if our aunt arrived.

there was also a part on my dream where i saw a cover of a dvd movie with furukawa yuuta and suzuki hiroki (zukki).

it looked like they were walking along the beach talking and laughing,

and they each had a surfing board with them.

i wonder...

"Mike you flirt!"

this was out joke yesterday between me, my sister, and "Mike" (^_^)

Mike is actually a close friend of ours.

we sometimes ask favors from him in his facebook account.

we would ask him to change his profile pic (and in my case, his civil status), (^_~)

based from our favorite j-idols/ j-actors.

last oct 3, mike and i were "married" and he changed his profile pic to zukki's pic,

because it was zukki's birthday and i really appreciate zukki as an actor.

today, rei asked mike to change his profile pic and civil status because it was rei's 18th birthday,

and also watanabe shu's birthday (one of rei's favorite actors). (^_^)

the result was the pictured liked above.

this was one of my favorite scenes from the D-Stage: Merchant of Venice. (^_^)

obviously because zukki and yanagi are my favorite actors,

and second, because i was not expecting this scene.

i know that they were one of the lovers for the play.

though i did not expect them to "kiss" for the kiss everyone was waiting for was basanio's and portia's.

seeing this really made the fangirl in me burst in delight!

add to that, i love the way jessica says lorenzo's name.

booking

i was looking at the promo bookings of cebu pacific when i saw the promo for osaka.

i tried booking for the month of october.

here is the flight information.

unfortunately, i could not purchase the booking because i do not have a credit card and i have no permission from my parents.

looking at the dates.

no, it is not a coincidence that the flight is on the first week of october and near zukki's birthday. (~_^)

preparations

i spent some hours of the day preparing for tomorrow and for the Vietnam-Cambodia trip.

some preparations are done so i will be going to the next step. (~_~)

by the way,

today was the first day of the D-stage production,

Merchant of Venice.

i have been looking for a full version of this song since the first time i heard it from the promotional video of the drama, 恋の正しい方法は本にも設計図にも載っていない. (^_^)

i was able to watch the second the the third but i was not able to follow up on it since i became so busy with work.

though the drama is already finished, i still tried to look for the song.

not much to say about today.

small errands that were done right away,

but i would say that the highlight of my day was the downloads of the natsudoko 2010 (d-boys)

hospital day 2

minna~

last night, i spent the night at the hospital taking care of ryo because my mom had to go to work.

we woke up around 2am so we watched television.

because of that, we kind of woke up late. (^_^)

it was also around this time when ryo and i had this conversation.

me: "enrique! you are sooooo cute!!!!! what do you do to make you cute?"

ryo: "i eat zukki everyday."

me: "that explains a lot."

XD

i almost fell from the bed laughing because of this. (○^_^○)

anyways, ryo was able to come home this afternoon. (^_^)

we are so thankful we will not be spending christmas at the hospital.

but we pray for the recovery of those who will be spending their christamas at the hospital, especially the kids. (^_^)

AFF Suzuki Cup

it was my first time to watch the AFF Suzuki Cup tonight. (^_^)

it was Philippines vs Indonesia.

Indonesia won.

despite the loss, the Philippine team (Azkals) showed great performance on the field. (^_^)

football is not really a "known" hobby here in our country but the AFF Suzuzki World Cup sparked the interest of a number of Filipinos, me included.

there will be a second game with Indonesia on Sunday.

win or lose, i am very proud of the Azkals!

we saw this application on a laptop when we went out yesterday. it has a detector thing wherein when it detects your face, it puts a mask on your picture. to my great amazement, the mask was...

friday family reunion

last friday, we went out for dinner with our relatives who just arrived from Australia. the last time we saw each other (well, jessica my cousin) was 15 years ago so we sort of had a "how are you/ getting to know you" chat. though we are aware of each others existence, we never really had communication. (-_-)

anyways, i'm glad that we were able to see each other and that is very much a big thing for me. (^_^)

the whole time, i had a great time with my relatives! we had lots and lots and lots of laughs! (^_^) too bad they had to go the next day to cebu then go travel to another country. the next time i will see them would most likely be another 10 years from now. but hey! at least i did not miss this opportunity (^_^)

we had dinner at Itallani's, and while i was looking at the menu, i noticed a dish that's called...

baked ziti! (>_<)

i had to read it again because i thought it said baked zukki!!! oh! one great facepalm! i was just too amused! i had to order that! XD

i was looking at the menu for a drink, unfortunately, they did not have tomato juice, i ended up ordering a maltshake. when my cousin jessica looked at the menu, she was excited to see her favourite drink, Vodka Cruiser Raspberry. when i saw the drink was red and it looked like tomato juice, i immediately asked for one order of the said drink. (○^_^○)

for desert, i wanted to eat chocolate ice cream, as i was looking at the other flavours for the ice cream, one flavour caught my attention...

pistachio! (^_^)

i suddenly remembered Dream Live 7th were taisuke wada kept on saying "peanuts, pistachio and coconuts" backstage and on stage. ooohhh! i just had to order it! XD
