Updates

It has been two months since I returned to writing my personal blog. As I have mentioned in my initial posts since I returned, I am doing this to alleviate myself from stress- emotional, physical and mental. This is a way to gauge my progress and to assess what has been helpful or counter productive for me.

This is also an opportunity for me to look back and reflect what has happened the previous month - things I am thankful for, those I need to follow up on and those I should be changing or avoiding.

Every year, at the first week of June, we start to pray the nine-day novena to St Anthony of Padua. My mom and I decided to continue to pray the rosary every night even after the nine-day novena. This gave me more reason to manage my time and my tasks. It gave me a little more structure in my life, it gave me a little sense of control - my fifteen to twenty minutes of reflection and silence.

I think I am gaining a little interest in photography again, not sure with this as my subject is always the city sky. We’ll see in the future. Currently I am limited to my clampshell phone, but with a little filter, it seems nice. Please don’t get me wrong, I love my phone, but it is more challenging to take photos with it because it does not have the high resolution of the current popular phones. Though I do love the challenge 😏😏😏

It was also this month that I had to unearth a skeleton in my closet. It was revealed because of a current social issue. I will post about it in a few days. Made me cry and crumble inside, but it also made me a little relieved knowing that there are people who understood me in the end.

I have some tasks that I delayed or are still delayed from last month and my dad is already nagging me about it. My bad. I hope I get to finally accomplish them on July.

Last but not least... I got a haircut and my glasses! Finally!

hot and cool

hi everyone! how are you?

the weather these past few days have been quite a headache.

it's summer so it's expected that the temperature is very high.

unfortunately, if there is high temperature, this means that evaporation of water also increases.

more evaporated water, more condensation in the clouds, more  chances of rain.

the rains these past few afternoons/evenings have been a great relief this hot summer.

the downside of it all is, the abrupt changes in temperature are causing headaches, dizziness, coughs and colds. (-A-)

my family and i have had the headaches and the dizziness.

we just hope none of us get seriously sick.

oh by the way, i'm having trouble posting some pictures from my phone recently.

so i might not post some pictures from my phone. (~_~)

new phone

last night, i lost my phone.

it was really my fault, but i don't feel bad losing it.

please don't get me wrong.

i myself can't explain why i did not feel bad about losing it.

i guess i'm just really not easily attached to my things like before.

of course i have to ask for the contact numbers of my friends but hey, i can easily as them in facebook right?

anyways, moving on. (^_^)

i bought a new phone today.

well, not really new because it's second hand but i still like it. (^_^)

it's a SoftBank phone.

i've been wanting to have a phone like this ever since i saw the Sunday pv of furukawa yuuta a few years ago. (^_~)

coincidentally, i bought my phone on a sunday. (^_^)

today, my phone is officially 1 year old!

yeah, kinda rare that my phone reaches one year.

it usually get stolen or damage within a year.

add to that, this was the first phone that i bought with my own money. (~_^)

whatta day!

this day started a bit sad for me.

i thought i lost my cellular phone and the atm card of my father.

i was so distraught.

as i was randomly looking around the house.

i saw a yellow can.

i had a feeling that i placed something there yesterday.

when i opened it, to my great surprise, i saw the things that i thought i lost.

i was so relieved. (~_~)

after realizing that i was already out of trouble,

i rushed to the indoor pool in the condominium near our house.

my siblings were already there*.

i swam for about three hours! (~_~)

my eyes were a little red after the swim. (~_^)

things i do at work

work can be really tiring, so being a happy person that i am, i looked for ways to entertain myself. sometimes, i don't even plan it, it just happens. :)

my officemate, Khiara, had this post it with a smiley design.as i was staring at it, i suddenly had an idea (^_^)

the second entertainment was discovered accidentally. a binder clip was beside my cellular phone. when i was about to get my phone, the binder clip follow my phone. this ain't a trick. i got my phone let the binder clip "hang/stick" on my phone for a while. i was so curious, i tried all sides of my phone but it is only on the upper left side of the phone wherein it "sticks" i'm assuming there is an magnetic force on that side of the phone caused by the electricity and the wires on that side of the phone.

oh! and since my phone is a flip phone, i opened it and tried sticking the binder slip to the screen side and the keypad side. i was expecting it to stick on the keypad side but to my amazement, the binder clip "stick" to the screen side. i guess thats where the wires are to connect the screen to the keypad. (^_^)

minna! my phone went for a swim in my office toilet. no more further story. so...

i bought a new phone. (^_^)

i'm not proud of the fact that its an imitation but i like the phone and it seems very useful for me (^_^)

LOOOOOONGEST BLOG!!

YES! this blog contains my trip to abra, things regarding work and other random things. like what the title says, this will be a very long blog. consider this as a warning!

i am taking this opportunity to blog right now because i still have the energy to blog. i have been very busy and tired because of work recently and i have only been working for five days. (-_-) no complains about work though. in a way, i'm enjoying the experience. (^_^) tiring but i am happy with the fact that i can still smile despite the intricate process and paperwork. (^_^)

i will start my blog with my trip to abra.

my father and i took the bus. my father and i took the seats directly behind the bus driver, suddenly a lady looked at me and said, "oh hi! how are you? long time no see." i looked at her and then i realized she was my theology teacher when i was in my last year in grade school. her name is Ms. Agunat. after eight years, we were "reunited" (^_^)

the trip was a long and tiring eight hour bus ride but for the first time, i did not sleep for the whole trip. in the past, i would sleep for the whole trip and wake up at the bus stops for food or a toilet break. it was raining the whole time. my father and i liked travelling like this. the weather was cool and the environment along the way was very green, very calming to see. (^_^) during such trips, there are vendors who board the bus and sell delicacies. among my favorite delicacies is Piaya. (~_~)

we arrived in abra around 7:30pm. we visited my grandfather who was rushed to the hospital that morning. we had a simple dinner, but while eating, gamo-gamo started to fly on the light and land on our dinner. it's a good thing we were about to finish eating. when i looked at the gamo-gamo, i realized, they were sooo big compared to their counterparts in the city. they were so big you can make them pets! (^_^) kidding!

anyways, i was so tired i immediately took a shower after dinner. as usual, i slept at the couch.

day 2

we woke up around 6am, a bit early if i as in the city, but in the province it was considered the right time to wake up (actually most people here wake up around 5am so 6am is still a bit late.) anyways, when i woke up, there was a small snail in the living room. i just stared at it before i ate breakfast. (~_~)

i spent half the day at the hospital with my grandfather. after lunch, i had a short nap. come afternoon, we got ready for our novena to Saint Anthony of Padua. The novena has been a family tradition/obligation. it started with my great great great grandmother. in a way, Saint Anthony of Padua had become a family patron saint.

truth is, it was the first time that i really took part in the novena. since the feast of Saint Anthony is June, we were always at school and were not directly involved in the novena. now that i have graduated, i finally had time to be involved, i could say that i was "initiated" that day. come evening, i went stargazing. this is one thing that i love in the province, you can see lots and lots of stars, unlike in the city. under the starry starry sky, on a starry starry night. :3

day 3

fresh from the pond and river. fresh from the garden and fields. all the food we ate were fresh and it tasted really good! the bitter gourd has also had a "sweet" taste and the shrimps/fishes were still jumping from the cooking pan!

today was the third day of the novena, there were more people who went to the novena but most of them are already old. seeing them all made me realized that my generation in next in line! about time i learn the tradition yes?

my grandfather had his ultrasound today and it was decided they had to operate on him the next day. :( come evening, my father and i had midnight snack at the garden. we were listening to his songs while he drank beer and i drank water. we were randomly talking about anything that pops in our mind.

day 4

the irony of it all. the operating room is divided into two rooms,the sterile room and the delivery room. the place where life is born is just a thin wood wall away from the place where a life may be taken away. i felt intrigued sitting there hearing one doctor saying "i am sorry. we did our best but his body could not take it anymore." then after a few minutes, another doctor saying "it's a baby boy!" who would have thought waiting can make me go nuts? XD anyways, this very same day, i went out with my batchmates from Holy Spirit Academy, my school when i was in grade 1 and grade 2.

i stopped drinking when i realized i have reached my limit. i felt so dehydrated to i started to drink water instead. after our short reunion, i went back to the hospital for the operation of my grandfather.

day 5

one thing that really amazed me was a doctor (my grandfather's doctor) telling me something about Medicine. i realized it was the same thing i wrote for a career map for our Guidance Office and an essay i wrote for our Current Issues in Psychology Class. could it really be a sign? coincidence? Dr. Cariño?

day 6

there was no electricity for half the day. anyways, we bought the ingredients for my "lunch with my batchmates" for the next day. today, i also tasted the best warm choco ever! i could get drunk in this! -me (^w^)

there was a great downpour around 5:30pm.

the heat of the day disappeared and the cool night came. i like the cool night (^_^) add to that, i kinda had the whole house/gallery to myself. my father went back to manila for a wake of his friend's wife. i was with Nana Petra, our helper, but she was in the other house (about half a kilometer away from where i was staying.) while my grandfather and his helper were at the hospital. anyways, i just enjoyed the cool silence all by myself (~_~)

day 7

i was busy preparing the utensils and for my scheduled lunch. thankfully, i finished on time. (^_^) we had a simple lunch in the old ancestral house (the one which is half a kilometer

away from the house i was staying) then we had a few chats. come afternoon, we drank vodka in our house (where i was staying). this time, i lessened my alcohol intake considering i was the host. (^_^) come evening, i saw a frog in our living room (^_^)

day 8

day 9 (the final day)

for the whole day, we prepared for the final day of the novena. we went to mass early then we started preparing food and cleaning. very busy day! but this did not stop me from strealing some of the food for the guests! XD i took cookies just because they were my childhood favotires and i got some suman (another delicacy).

anyways, after all the preparation. rei and i walked around the garden. we passed by this huge jackfruit! too bad it was not that ripe yet. :(

there is this mango in our garden that had a very low branch and a thick one too. most of the people duck when they pass under the branch, but for me, there is no need to bend, because i am so small i can walk under without hitting my head. XD

come evening, we already left abra and rode the evening bus back to the city.

flip phone

because of the music video Sunday by Furukawa Yuta, i had a want to own a flip phone.

yesterday, some kids were selling toys.

i happen to see that they were selling this toy cellphone that looks like my "dream phone"

i was full of joy i bought it. (#^_^#)

i then realized that the brand of the toy phone is Sony Ericsson.

as i was studying the phone, i realized it looks like the phone of rakuto tochihara. ♥ (^_^) ♥

skating, home alone and food

i was supposed to go skating at Shopwise yesterday but they did not allow me anymore because there was a manager meeting near the place i was supposed to skate.

so i roamed Araneta Center to find a place i where i can go skating.

my search was a failure so i just went home.

good thing about it all was i walked around Araneta Center for an hour or two and that was enough for my daily exercise. (笑)

i just did a few skating at home.

today, i was home alone for majority of the day.

everyone had scheduled plans.

my sister and my brother had a field trip.

my mom accompanied my brother.

papa went to the hospital to get his broken finger checked.

and i was left home alone.

well, not really alone. (笑)

my grandfather is here but he was sleeping the whole day.

the house is very silent when he is around.

my grandmother was home but she just stays in the room sewing.

ate joan, our helper was sleeping come afternoon.

i felt alone cause i was not talking to anybody most of the day.

so i just watched movies of my favorite japanese actors. (笑)

when my father arrived, he invited me to eat out at Gateway. (笑)

we ate at World of Chicken and i had 2 servings of pasta and chicken inasal.

i was very hungry as i forgot to eat breakfast and lunch. (笑)

while in Gateway, papa and i did window shopping at Rustan's.

there we saw fuji-senpai and kei. (*^。^*)

we had a little chat and we parted ways.

papa and i then went to Farmers and SM to continue our window shopping.

in SM, i saw a flip phone of LG that i really like. (#^.^#)

the problem is it's new, so most likely, it's expensive.

two, i have not researched enough about it.

but right now, i plan to save for it.

because i was so full after our snack, i did not eat dinner anymore.

except the buko pie rei-chan bought for us from her field trip.

so far, my summer is not boring and i am very thankful for it. (*^。^*)

my 100th post

yesterday, mama and i accompanied aylin to POEA to apply for a passport.

i also got my passport. (*^。^*)

we then passed by Robinson's Galleria and ate ice cream from McDo and we also passed by a petshop with CUTE pets waiting to be bought! (*^。^*)

come afternoon, i prepared my things for going to fuji-senpai's event and for our slumber party.

i helped finalize some things at the event of senpai.

the event got delayed because of the sudden change in arrangements due to the drizzle but the event went well.

we also danced after all the bands have played. (*^。^*)

we each had one shot of whatever hard drink mix was offered (#^.^#)

at the end of the night, i felt so bad about the one shot and i ended forgetting almost an hour before i went to sleep last night. (笑)

by the way, i received my graduation/birthday gift from fuji-senpai.

a Fanta cellphone chain. (*^。^*)

i slept over at fuji-senpai's house.

i actually don't remember what senpai and i talked about before we had our slumber (笑)

but i do remember

♠feeling bad about the one shot drink from the event

♠eating a sandwich prepared by senpai's mom and tita

♠me taking a bath

♠brushing my teeth along with senpai

♠the senpai almost going to sleep with her glasses on

♠sleeping at around 4:30am

♠scouting for my phone in darkness around 5am because it started to alarm.

other details after senpai's event, i do not remember anymore. (笑)

i woke up around 10am and i waited for senpai to wake up around 11am.

we did not have breakfast anymore, we went straight to lunch.

we then spent our afternoon watching videos of Masataka Nakagauchi and Rikkai.

my dad was also texting me weird one word questions and i was confused whether he was just making fun of me or he wanted me to go home asap.

in the end, my dad was only making fun of me. (笑)

we had another photo session before i went home around 5pm.

oh! the senpai gave me a candy cane! (*^。^*)

2 party, gifts and the Bar

yesterday, i went to Lee's place for the annual ScarMid Christmas Party!!!

there were quite a lot of us. ^_^

they played Guitar Hero, we talked, ate and YES!

drank The Bar with Sprite. o^_^o

looked and tasted like water with a twist. xp

did not get drunk. ^_^

we also watched videos of Namie Amuro. ^_^

i came home around 11:30pm...

today, i went to the christmas party of my college friends. ^_^

i went to fuji-senpai's place before going to momo-senpai's house.

we bought pizza on our way to momo-senpai's house.

when we arrived, everybody was there. ^_^

we ate, sang karaoke, played Pinoy Henyo, took lots of pictures and YES!!

we drank The Bar with RC. o^_^o

i admit that the mix was stronger than yesterday's mix.

i did get tipsy but i had my ways of "fixing" myself.

(that sounds wrong. xp)

i borrowed kaido-senpai's camera most of the time xp

i passed by fuji-sepai's house before her mother brought me home around 12mn o^_^o

i got gifts from both my HS and College friends. o^_^o

did i mention i "tortured" fuji-senpai with my message tone? o^_^o

p.s. not much photos from my phone cause my camera does not work well in dark places (both parties were from late afternoon to late in the evening). photos are yet to be grabbed and stolen from my friends o^_^o

hw, party, choco and bar

this was my homework for Current Issues in Psychology. ^_^

the task was to draw our "Ideal Psychologist" and describe him/her.

odd thing was, it sort of came out like a projection test.

i do not deny that my ideal psychologist is actual what i want in the future. ^_^

our block had a small christmas party at the sar.

it was small but fun. ^_^

we exchange gifts but i decided not to post what my gift is yet! xp

there was pasta, gulaman, chicken cake and juice. ^_^

majority of the gifts were shirts,

so when we were about to wrap up,

those who got shirts were asked to "pose" with their new shirts. ^_^

pat was not on the pic because she was cleaning her skirt... :(

she accidentally sat on the food. :(

we later cleaned up and went our separate ways. ^_^

when i arrived home,

i rested for a while and then we (rei-chan, kuya jose and kuya les) made chocolates...

the chocolates are presents for the teachers of my siblings. ^_^

while making them, we ate the excess chocolates. xp

around 1am (dec 18), we (me, kuya jose and kuya les) went to Palawan 2 (P2)

a gay bar here in Cubao.

it's the second time i've went there...

i saw one of my former choirmates who was working there..

he was surprised to see me there cause he thought i was still a minor. xp

i told him i was already 19years old.

he then offered me a drink and i jokingly said,

"libre mo?"

his answer was..

"oo."

i smirk and asked for a beer and yes he did pay for it.

hahahahahahaha... xp

we went home around 4am had a few chats...

kuya les went home,

kuya jose went to his apartment to sleep

and i went to my couch to sleep. ^_^

3rd week of november

we finally have internet!!!!! ^_^

now... updates!

last monday, i bought chilled taho from our cafeteria...

i just tried it... it was not that bad but the usual taho is better. :p

tuesday.. i bought this strawberry juice and it was sooooo sweet..

just to add a twist, i put Selecta Fortified Milk (low fat)

this is the first time i actually bought low fat...

so this was definitely an experiment..

kuya les was here tuesday night and he read my cards...

oh so many things he said that really freaked me out but hey..

it was fun.. ^_^

so fun, we stayed up sooooooo early!!!!

hahaha is in i slept around 6am and did not go to my 9:00am class (wednesday)!!!

that wednesday, we edited the thesis..

when editing was done, kuya les fetched me and he treated me at Teriyaki Boy!

the reason for him fetching me and all the other posts about him, in the future will be revealed in due time... >_<

for thursday and friday, nothing much happened... :)

well, other than last friday, my mother borrowed my phone becasue they (the whole family except me) went to the zoo..

but i definitely missed my phone.. o^_^o

for this week

a lot of things happened and will still happen this week. i haven't been able to write because...

1) we have no net at home

2) net is quite slow in school

3) busy with academics

4) events..

so no pictures for now cause i cannot connect the cord for my phone on my sisters laptop.
