i serve for God

thank you Lord for all the opportunities that you have given me to share my talent in dancing and to serve you!

i know that statement/declaration is not enough to say how blessed and thankful i am for the talent, opportunity and graces that God has give me.

the first off the list was during our cluster sportsfest.

i was able to dance once again with my idols, mimi and che.

though short, i really appreciate this opportunity because they have been quite busy recently so i was really thankful for that moment!

second, i was given an opportunity to be part of the production team during the CFC West B Cana weekend.

in addition to that, i was the assigned photographer for the event!

but that blessing and opportunity did not end there,

i also had the chance to perform a jazz number during the event.

i was truly blessed and i am thankful for the opportunity that was given to me.

i would like to take this opportunity to thank ate Gracelyn Romero for giving me this opportunity.

thank you for the friendship that has started and the bonds that have strengthened because of these events and opportunities that i have been part of.

my service to God will definitely not end here.

the service continues and i shall do my best to accept the services that i am called to be part of.

to share my time, my talent and my treasure,

all for God and his people!

mother's day celebration

mothers

9 months she carries you in her womb.

for the rest of your lifetime, she is there to support you.

they are heroes in their own way.

they deserve to be honored for their silent sacrifices.

jogging

yesterday, a handful of us from sfc went to IP Diliman for a 6.6 km jog around the academic oval. (^_^) after that, we ate ice cream at a waiting shed along the elliptical road. that's something you don't do everyday (^_^) pictures here!

company outing

last weekend, we had our company summer outing at the subic bay yatch club. the ride from the office to the venue seemed longer than the way back. (^_^) anyways, the room was superb. made me feel like keigo atobe. the beds were huge, the bathroom was huge! we had a walk in closet, sink area, powder area, toilet area, shower area and... hold it... a jacuzzi! yes! you heard it right! we had a jacuzzi! i didn't use it till our second night though.

anyways, upon arrival, we checked in our rooms and we had a rest. we then had karaoke at the bar, had dinner and went for a night swim at the pool. (^_^) the next day, we had breakfast and went to the tree top adventure ride. after that, we set sail on a yatch for about an hour. lastly, we had our dinner in a semi-formal attire. (^_^) the next day was free time. what did i do? i had a swim on the pool! (^_^) the ride home seemed faster than i had expected.

devotion, repentance and faith

everything seems to make better sense when you experience it first hand. every year, every holy week, we go to the province for a family obligation/tradition. someone in my mind i have imagined something going wrong during this yearly sacrifice we do and that the devotees would help us. i thought the people from our province have forgotten traditions and devotion. this year, i was very happy that i was proven wrong.

during the procession, we would expect the generator of the santo inchero to die and then it will be revived after a few minutes. this time around, the generator is dead. period. i was really panicking cause it was getting late, the night is arriving and the santo inchero has no light. to my amazement, the devotees put candles on the side of the santo inchero to light it. i was really moved and i was so happy to be proved wrong. the people in the province, despite the great change in the generation, still have devotion, was still repentant and most of all had great faith.

Lord, please bless these people who are willingly giving everything to you. they have entusted their life to you and i lift them all to you. they have taught me, never to lose faith in you. they are the real heroes and "saints" of the time.

epic friday

things happen for a reason. (^_^)

this day was one of those epic days for me when the usual reaction would be to lose once temper or what not,

in my case, i was even laughing about it. (^_^)

on my way to work, i usually take the train.

since i woke up late, there was already a long line at the train station.

i decided to buy a train ticket from the vendo machine and take the bus to the next station where there would be less people.

on the bus, i was checking my wallet for money.

to my surprise i DO NOT have money.

i thought i was robbed, but that was not my main dilemma at that time.

my dilemma was how to pay the bus fare.

luckily, i had enough coins for the ride.

i got down at a train station that was 3 stations away from the usual station i ride.

suddenly, the train ticket was not accepted by the machine.

i was assisted by the guard to the customer relations office.

they told me that since i bought the train ticket from the vendo machine, i could only use that ticket in the station where i bought it.

so i had to surrender my ticket.

so there i was, 3 train stations away from home and no money.

i called my dad and told him about what happened.

as i was telling it to him, i was laughing. (^_^) no joke!

it was only that time that i realized that the reason i did not have money was because i bought something last night so i have spent my money.

in short, i was not robbed (^_^)

i then rode a cab to our house and my mom paid for it.

i asked money from my parents and took the train again to get to work.

i was an hour and a half late but i was still laughing about it.

actually until now, while writing about it, i am still laughing. (^_^)

i cannot explain why i did not lose my temper or something.

i would not even say that i am an optimistic type of person.

what was running in my mind was,

"maybe it's God's way of telling me to slow down,"

or "take care, don't rush, be safe."

or "i'll delay you for a while becuase if you continue, something might happen."

this is not the first time it happened so i'm not very bothered about it. (^_^)

i guess that all i can say for today. (^_^)

parties

hi everyone! it's past 1am and here i am trying to keep myself awake.

when the christmas season comes, with this are christmas parties!

i believe, as of today, i have attended 4 christmas parties.

danced/performed in 2 of them,

wore a costume for 2 parties (on the same night),

sang at 3 parties,

had a few alcoholic drinks in one of the parties.

all of them i really enjoyed! (^_^)

i believe i have one more planned christmas party to attend to.

just for the record, the family christmas dinner is totally different from the christmas parties,

the christmas parties i was referring to are the ones with my friends and officemates. (^_^)

hi everyone! been a very loooooonng time since i last updated. though, mind you, a lot of events has happened that i can be sure of. (^_^) the pictures are all stacking up in my laptop. unfortunately, i do not have the internet connection to upload them all. maybe i'll pust a post and a link for all my pics since i last updated. (^_^) anyways, right now i am using the desktop of my dad. let me remember what i have been doing since my last update... hmmm.

well... it's been a year since i offcially became a member of Singles for Christ. (^_^) me and my batchmates sponsored the food for our Christian Life program. it was our way of giving forward or giving back, however way you look at it. i would say a lot has changed since last year and i hope the change still continues for the better. (^_^)

i have attended a wedding for a cute couple who are also our fellow SFC members. we were the ones who sang for the wedding. i would admit that it was a bit of a disaster but we were all just very happy for them. (^_^) we will be singing in another wedding this monday for another couple from SFC. i hope our singing is better this time around. (^_~)

a bunch of us also performed at the Saterdotal anniversary of our parish priest. aiza and i were the ones who chose the music. bjoy and i did the choreography and i also did the editing for the songs. it was fun but there were a few misunderstandings and bad blood bad the way. thankfully, we were able to overcome this and we were all in good terms after the performance. (^_^)

oh! i went to hong kong last weekend with my officemates. it was an all-expense paid trip by our boss. we went to disneyland and had dinner at the Peak. it was my first time to go to hong kong so i was very excited. i had fun but i wish i had more time to walk around though. (^_^) as i said earlier, pictures will be uploaded as soon as i have enough time and the right internet connection. sorry! m(_ _)m

oh by the way, the first few things i looked for when i was in hk? FANTA! hahahaha! and yes, i did find it. unfortunately, i could not bring it here in the philippines because it was not allowed on the plane. (^_^)

christmas is just around the corner. (^_^) been taking pictures of "christmassy" thingies these past weeks. i hope i get the chance to post them in the near future. and i mean NEAR! (^_^)

i'm very sure i'm missing other details of what i have been doing recently but i really hope i could share them here. (^_^)

rei celebrated her 19th birthday last october.

we had dinner at burgoo.

another super update

hi everyone! it's been really hard for me to update my blog recently due to work and limited internet access. there have been a lot that has been happening lately, and to tell you all the truth, i can't even remember some of them. i do have pictures so... i'll just tell you all about these pictures are. (^_^) we will start with the albums.

1st SFC Big West Conference

we are all proud to say that we are the pioneer members who attended the conference. (^_^) the venue as at my alma mater, Miriam College. There were 3 talks, praise fest, mass and dances. i also bought shirts, but no pictures yet of the shirts. you will all see them in my future pictures. (^_~)

next, the birthday celebration of Rex, our manager, and also the quarter celebration of our company since we reached our quota for this quarter. yosh! it was all a treat from our boss, James. thank you! (^_^) the pictures will tell it all.

next, pictures i have "edited"

there has been an on going campaign to lessen the garbage and plastic usage around the world. it's now advised to bring your own bag for groceries and stuff, or they use paper bags. one particular establishment took it a notch higher. the design of their paper bag is a copy of a painting by a filipino painter. really awesome! i couldn't throw the paper bag because it was eye-candy for me. i kept it for myself. (^_~)

second picture? it involves cold treats! korean ice cream, because my friend at office wanted to try it for the first time. the second treat? earl grey ice cream! no kidding (^_^) best only when served cold though. if it melts, it's not that enjoyable anymore. then again, that's just me. it was the first time a tested this flavor in an ice cream. i mean, i drink earl grey tea, but ice cream? i just had to try. (^_^)

you have all heard of the sandwich shop Subway right? well... i only at there recently and i realized ho much i as missing! hehehe! the sandwich as just great. i would definitely buy there at least once a week. (^_^) i am so behind with a lot of stuff so don't be surprised hen you see "first time" in my entries. (^_^)

rarely do i go to Starbucks because i have this notion that drinks and food are overpriced there. but i do admit that there is that rare moment that you think you just really deserve it after busy days and stressful tasks. (^_^) choco-glazed donut and strawberry and cream frappe. (^_^)

our team leader treated us to frozen margarita and snacks is celebration of those e have hired for the client company, kampai! (^_^) yes, another first time for me. (^_^)

and lastly, friday was a holiday here. but i went to work for half day. i jut had to take a picture of myself. i don't know why, i just had a feeling i had to. (^_~)

there are so many things i missed telling in this entry, but as i said earlier, i can't remember the other events anymore. please forgive me. m (_ _) m

super update

hi everyone! how are you? (^_^)

it's been almost a month since my last entry.

there have been so many things that has happened but to tell you all the truth,

i cant remember most of them anymore.

hat i can assure you though is that i feel always tired.

if you have been following my entries,

you'll know very well why i have been so tired and busy to the point of not being able to update my blog. (^_~)

moving forward, i will now post an update of what has been happening in my life.

since i am hungry at the moment, i will start with food.

carbohydrates and brewed coffee.

my lifeline at work at the moment.

i have a bigger appetite now because my body really needs the extra energy and the caffeine to make me feel like i am always in a hurry.

i am careful not to over do it with the coffee because i can get too hyper that it won't really help me finish my work.

next, the "poison" at work.

those commercially, over coated chocolate thingies!

yes, there are lots of those at office.

so dangerous i'm telling you.

the manifestation that i have not been taking care of myself well lately?

severe lower back pain!

i'll let you all research what that means (^_^)

moving on...

every sunday is family day.

12:01am, sunday, we ate donuts and ice cream while watching tv.

hey, isn't this dangerous for family ho has history of diabetes? (^_~)

anyways, so, sunday is family day.

we go out, we eat, we window shopping...

anything, as long as we are together.

oh, did i mention we sometimes fool around? (^_^)

as for my sfc household,

were have been meeting quite regularly.

in one of the sessions, we had this activity where we share a food/milk that represents us.

the sharing was great and what did i share?

milk! i'll leave it up to you the reason behind that. (^_~)

oh, before i forget.

i was able to watch the Phantom of the Opera with my siblings!

it has its greats and disappointments, but overall it was a chance of a lifetime. (^_^)

now on we go albums.

on the first day of september mama and kuya benjie had a big party to celebrate their birthday.

also, rei attended the asian pop convention a few weeks back.

the whole family was there to support her because she sang.

our parents felt awkward but my brother enjoyed it at some point. (^_^)

family day sunday

yesterday, we went out for a very late family lunch at a japanese fastfood chain at Ali Mall.

of course me and my siblings were goofing off as always. (^_^)

2nd fellowship

yesterday we had our second fellowship in our household. (^_^)

it wasn't as grand as the first one,

but it was definitely worth the time.

it was simple but the time talking to each other and sharing the stories of what we have been through since we last saw each other,

was a great time to unwind.

we went to trinoma,

walked around.

at pasta, chicken and rice, and drank lemonade.

talked about experiences and shared advise.

definitely a day full of great worth. (^_~)

party on a thursday night

yes, you read that right.

i went to a party on a thursday night and i need to be very early for work the next day. (^_^)

well, i would not say that it was really a big party.

it was a company party. (^_^)

now that i think about it,

i'm not sure if the fact that it was a company party was a positive or a negative thing. (^_~)

anyways, wine, barbeque and taco's were served.

there was also some dancing thanks to some higher up employees who started dancing. (^_~)

obviously, my most favorite part was dancing! (^_^)

the venue was perfect!

it was on a garden/ gazeebo on top of our building,

it was windy, cools and perfect for the event.

i would say it was a success,

but i really hoped more people did dance. (^_^)

thankfully, i was able to wake up early the next day for work.

hhhmmm... would there be any chance i would be doing something like this again in the future?

hehehe... well, just have to wait and see. (^_~)

recruitment training

this weekend has been very busy, enjoying and informing. (^_^)

we had our recruitment training and it definitely was a balance of fun and knowledge.

the training was specific, short and straight-forward.

it was very helpful and creative.

big thanks to our trainer of course,

shane sibraa.

the venue was great and so was the food.

well except the fact that at was served late and cold,

the food was still tasty.

rooms and facilities were relaxing.

the weather was cool.

and it was definitely worth it. (^_^)

mmc 2012

the metro manila conference is the first conference that i have attended as an sfc member.

despite the troubles that i experienced weeks before the conference,

i am very thankful that i was able to go.

it was a great experience and i am very thankful for those who helped me make this experience a great success.

and of course, thank you God for all of this. (^_^)

last friday, mama and i watched Per Sorensen and Tears for Fears concert.

this is sort of my gift for her because it's the month of her birthday.

plus, i really wanted to watch and listen to Per Sorensen. (^_^)

it was an awesome night indeed!

special mention: i love the smile of Per Sorensen. (^_~)

after the concert, we fetched rei and ryo.

we then went to mercato to have late dinner.

luckily, mercato was near papa's workplace so papa was able to join us. (^_^)
