God Is Love

God Is Love (1 John 4: 7-10)

Beloved,
 let us love one another, for love is from God, and
whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because
God is love.

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that
 God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

In this is love,
not that we have loved God
but that he loved us and sent his Son to be
the propitiation for our sins.

Pope Francis

The Catholic faith has always had doctrines that were too strict that it created rifts between the people.

Recently, the Pope has been in the limelight because of his past and his views.

As a catholic myself, I would say that I like how the Pope has addressed a lot of issues that are surrounding the faith.

I guess, I support him because most of the things he has presented, are also my views at a certain extent.

photographs and perspectives

this first link was interesting for me because I was intrigued by the art behind the "abandoned-ness".

i like to explore abandoned places, though i rarely take pictures of them.

maybe this is why it caught my attention,

i don't have the opportunity to have a photograph of the abandoned places i visit,

so seeing the product of others doing it really sparked my interest. (^_^)

the second link, it took me time before i could really appreciate it.

i would admit that i am a fan of clear and vivid pictures.

so seeing this techniques was odd and a little off for me.

but after some time looking at the pictures,

i appreciated it's purpose and technique. (^_^)

Lord, heal our land.

there have been a number of calamities happening recently, local and international.

we pray for healing, for our land, our country, our world,

prayers for those affected and in pain, for those in doubt, for those struggling,

for those who have hesitations to help, for those burdened to reach out,

for the people

and most of all,

for ourselves.

Amen.

yours truly have always been attracted to the arts.

i admit that i may not have the technical knowledge or history about it,

but that is no hindrance for me to appreciate it right?

with the technology we have right now,

taking a photograph is easy,

but having the technique, style and depth is still important and it really showed in these photos.

the world is full of art,

theory

i know it's long due and it has passed but i just really had to share it.

this is a theory from my friend/officemate, rizell.

there have been fuss, rumors and jokes about the end of the world on dec 21, 2012 (12/21/12)

as this is the end of the mayan calendar.

being one of the ancient civilizations that believed to be advance in their time,

it is said that they predicted the "end of the world," 12/21/12.

now, this is where the theory of my friend comes in.

the mayans lived in south america.

since they were the ones who "predicted" the end of the world based fro their calendar,

doesn't that mean that it supposed to be december 21 on their calendar?

meaning dec 22 in the eastern part of the world?

it sounds like a joke... well, we later on passed it as a joke. (^_^)

in the end, the mayan calendar simply has a new cycle.

it's like the end of 2012 and the start of 2013.

a new year, a new cycle begins.

2011 year ends

this year has been one of the most challenging and emotional year of my life.

i would not go into details about it anymore.

despite it all,

i am thankful for the year that has passed.

thankful for all the blessings, for the people who touched our lives , for my family and everything that has happened this year.

a lot has also happened to the people around me,

to our country and to the whole world,

and still here we are celebrating the end of 2011 and the start of 2012.

we leave the past behind and we now face the new year before us.

new smile, new challenges, new people and a new world to face.

we are all blessed in our own way.

to God who has bestowed us with life,

who has guided us and provided us with all our needs.
