haggard games

what was my agenda immediately after we arrived from naga?

the haggard games

i rushed to the sunken garden/ grandstand of the university of the philippines diliman for the shooting of a video to be presented on the orientation of the first year medicine students of uerm.

to tell you all the truth, i was surprised the my friend mikey and our former class president, who is now part of the council, messaged me about the video.

i was in naga when i received their message.

i turned it down initially because their shooting was supposed to be monday, the day before our arrival to manila, and that means i could not make it.

the next day, i received a message that said that the shooting was moved to tuesday.

i immediately said yes since by that time we were scheduled to be already in manila.

on the day of the shooting, i was late.

the train arrived behind schedule so i really had to rush to check what were the materials i needed and took a taxi to the venue.

from that point onwards, everything went smooth and on schedule. (^_^)

i really had fun doing the video.

thank you to the director, victor borlaza,

the messenger, jonathan alegre,

and the other messenger, cameraman for the shoot and dear friend, mikey cruz.

and to the rest of the crew, thank you for this opportunity. (^_^)

lantern

it's the week after the long exams.

we are supposedly just taking things easy. but it seems it's the contrary.

there was a sudden need for people to do a lantern for the lantern fest that would represent our class.

it was to be made with recycled materials and we had approximately 24 hours to do it.

challenge accepted!

we worked on it for two nights and going to class in the morning and afternoon.

it was very tiring and we were so hungry.

in the end, it all payed off. (^_^)

we won second place! it was very beautiful!

paraded on the streets with colored cellophane that made it glow with different colors!

i was definitely proud of our work! (^_^)

ps. sorry, no picture. m(_ _)m

busy

this week has been really really busy!

i thought it would only be the weekend,

but it was otherwise.

i could barely keep myself awake and blog when i got home.

this week was acads majority of the day and practices in late afternoon till late at night.

"practices" - i am referring to practicing for the diarrhea forum for our biochemistry class and practicing for the christmas party presentation for the singles for christ.

i tiring week indeed.

despite the tiredness and worries,

i felt rather good about myself.

i don't know why.

by the way,

i started to learn fencing with celine and maricia this week.

our classmate and friend david is the one teaching us in exchange for free dinner.

i hope i could continue with it.

minna-san, please support me in my endeavors. (^_~)

this week will also be very busy as the exam week is getting near.

i really have to get serious!

yosh!

update

good evening everyone~

this week and this coming monday is our second long test.

as usual, the test last wednesday and today was very hard. (T_T)

but it's already done so i just have to move on an exert more effort.

just continue and do the best that i can do. (^_^)

as a stress reliever [seriously, mere studying can be stressing]

i played with this drawing application on rei's tumblr site.

result? a purple rose ♥

anyways, after our exams today,

my class unintentionally invaded a pizza restaurant for lunch.

this was not planned.

it was just a coincidence or something that majority of the class ate at the pizza restaurant.

there were two loooooong tables set up for us.

add to that, two of our classmates (one person per long table) celebrated their birthday last week.

so when the celebrant was given an ice cream, the table were the celebrant was sang a birthday song.

t'was really funny. (^_^)

after lunch, i visited my former work place.

i was really happy to see everyone again.

i was also able to meet the person who is now in the position i previously occupied. (^_^)

hope i can visit them again next time.

for tonight, i'm trying to chill for i will be studying for our final tests for monday after tonight.

i need to loosen up a bit though...

what to do?

a proud tenimyu fan

first of all, i would like to thank my friend maya_hayashi from the czech republic. (~_~)

because of your comment in my june 3 entry, i was able to pull myself together.

i have forgotten how to "face my singles match."

after reading your comment, i felt like echizen, i remembered it all...

the lyrics (translated) from different songs from TENIMYU.

"stand and recieve no matter what match you face."

"keep on fighting, it is the proof of staying alive."

"RUN! we're going to run (to) our brand new start."

"RUN! we're ready, with our refreshed hearts and minds."

"we weave a tapestry with our guts and fighting spirit."

"RUN! having a good time, the steps become light as a feather."

"never back down. lean forward."

"the reason we are running is to find our goal."

"we are running forever!"

"i make my decision. the future is here within my reach."

"go forward, tear down any walls that come your way."

"do your best, echizen! win or lose, a returning ball covered in sweat. watch my great return which i put my all into."

"do your best!"

"FGKS! FIGHT ON, GET ON, KEEP ON, STEP UP!"

and many more.

when i was about to breakdown on my last year in college, these songs inspired me to continue.

when i started working and had troubles and i was about to give up, these songs cheered me on till my last day at work.

and now that i feel scared that i will be facing a new "match", the college of medicine, these songs has once again challenged me to move forward and fight with all i have to give.

at the end of it all i would like to shout:

GAME SET! WON BY BEATRIZ!

i would say, that i am happy and proud that i am a tenimyu fan!

tears

honestly, i really want to be a doctor though i always questioned my skills.

my mother went to the parent's orientation this morning.

when she arrived, i asked her immediately what the school said at the orientation.

while my parents and i were talking about it,

tears started to fill my eyes.

at the beginning i was trying not to let them out,

but i could not hold it any longer.

as i was crying i realized how much tension has been hidden inside of me.

ever since i was enrolled, it was only now that i really cried and said...

"i am scared that i might not be able to make it."

my parents assured me that they will support me,

but personally, i feel very fragile about it.

it is true that talent and skills are a great advantage in this field despite the hardwork and the passion.

but i hope that does not stop me from going forward, do my best to help others and to be a doctor.

i hope in the long run, i do not lose myself.

college of medicine

good afternoon everyone!

yesterday, i was busy with enrollment for the college of medicine,

and today with the physical examination.

officially, i am enrolled at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) Memorial Medical Center.

there is no turning back now!

(~_~)

regarding the physical examination today,

part of it is the extraction of approximately 4cc of blood so they can examine it have a red blood cells count.

the one who extracted my blood was like an intern.

he was still in the learning process,

so it's like a was his guinea pig for his training (T_T)

it was painful but i could still bear with it.

he later put a cotton on when he extracted my blood.

after less that 3 minutes,

there was a lot of blood on the cotton. (T_T)

and right now,

the right arm feels strained.
