I mentioned this in my update from last month.
So here it is.
One of our former tenants left an old laptop (no battery though) and an old monitor. It was dusty and moldy, so I wiped it clean with alcohol. I tried to look for the power supply for both gadgets, but I only found the power supply of the laptop. Unfortunately, the power supply was out of commission.
So, I decided to gamble. I bought a power supply online. When the new power supply arrived, I immediately tried it with the laptop. The good news is, it turned on. The bad news is, the keyboard does not work.
Once again, I gambled. I brought the laptop to a repair shop. Anxiety settled in as I was trying to describe to the technician about the gadget. Honestly, I was afraid that changing the keyboard would be a burden on my budget.
Luckily, I was able to get it fixed within the budget. I am using it as of writing. The laptop has been with me for a month now. Despite it being basic, bulky, and old, I like the functionality of it. Also, the brand is a trusted brand in terms of durability.
My father searched the internet for the same model of laptop. I found out someone is selling the same model for double the price I spent. It was a good gamble.
And that is how I now have an old, new laptop. Yey! 😃😃😃
