moment

we ate christmas dinner together.

a week later i got his blood pressure, 200mmHg.

three days he was in a coma.

last night, we were informed he only had hours to live.

enrique was silent for a few minutes, praying for him.

at 3:30 in the morning,
in a second,
the doctor said,

"he is gone."
