today is the start of the nine day novena for st. anthony.
st. anthony of padua is our family patron saint.
the tradition of having the novena at our house in the province and celebrating the feastday of st anthony with a great feast has been happening for so many years.
it has been passed down from generation to generation.
it started with a promise of one of our ancestors and her prayer to have a child.
i pray that my siblings and other family members would be able to continue this family tradition,
which sadly, is eventually fading.
