konbanwa minna-san~
below are the pictures during our trip. (^_^)
arrival - it was our (me and my sister) first time to travel out of the country so we were very excited.
for this trip, we went backpacking which was quite an adventure for us.
though i was a bit used to backpacking considering that is how i travel when i go to our province, but then again, this was backpacking in a different country. (~_~)
anyways, we arrived at around 1am at ho chi minh, vietnam and our bus trip for cambodia was 6:30am.
we decided to stay at the park while waiting for our bus.
i even slept at the grass because i was very tired. (~_^)
anyways, when the city was already awake, we ate our breakfast at the side streets then we boarded our bus.
the trip was very long.
then again, we were used to it because it was almost the same travel time when we go to our province. (~_~)
we arrived at siem reap, cambodia at around 9pm and the tuk-tuk of our guesthouse was the one who picked us up.
for dinner, we went to the Old Market and ate at the side streets (here in the philippines we call it turo-turo).
since we sort of have adventurous taste buds, we enjoyed the different burst of new flavors we tasted. (~_~)
after dinner, we went back to the guesthouse to rest and got ready for the tour of the Angkor temples.
the tour was for three days.
day 1
day 2
day 3
we had a tuk-tuk to bring us to the temples and we would explore them on our own.
the tuk-tuk is one of the primary form of transportation.
here in our country, its like a tricycle.
if i were to describe it, i would say it is a combination between a motorcycle and the kalesa here in the philippines, minus the horse of course. (^_~)
anyways, the weather was very very hot during the tour but we were used to it and we were also used to walking around so we practically enjoyed the tour. (~_~)
during the three-day tour, we mostly ate bread and cheese which is very convenient. (~_~)
though for dinner we would eat out at the side streets.
the guesthouse we stayed in was very accommodating and it made our stay very comfortable.
on the evening of our third day in cambodia, we rode a bus to go to vietnam.
we arrived morning the next day.
we checked-in at a backpackers hotel and had brunch on one of the stalls at the side streets.
we rested for a while and then we started our tour of the city.
day 1
day 2
day 3
we went to 3 catholic churches, 6 museums, one japanese restaurant and one cozy cupcake cafe.
(~_~)
on the evening of our third day, we departed for manila, philippines.
(^_^)
the whole trip was enjoyable, educational and adventurous!
we love it!
